Corporate Travel Agent – French and German Speaking

Based in Basingstoke

£21,000 to £22,000

This role is for a corporate travel agent to provide reservations in an internal corporate travel department based at our Basingstoke site. 

Areas of Responsibility

·         Perform daily travel reservations activity – air, rail, lodging and ground transportation

·         Ensure company policies, standards and procedures are enforced

·         Responsible for the timely and effective resolution of any customer service issues

Essential

It is essential that the job holder has the following capabilities:

·         Significant corporate travel agency experience

·         Professional customer service skills and telephone etiquette

·         Fluent in the following languages - German, French

·         Sabre experience required

·         Superior organisational skills

·         Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure

·         Ability to work independently with little supervision

·         Exceptional customer service and client issues resolution skills

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Proficiency in accessing alternative sources to analyze routings, fares, car rentals, accommodation ratings and discount programmes

·         Able to accurately process voids, exchanges, refunds and commission earning entries

·         Able to analyze billing information to authorise payments, ensuring proper discounts are applied

·         Strong knowledge in a wide variety of agency automation systems, e-commerce technology and Microsoft business application program

You should have an appropriate post secondary qualifications, a university degree is preferred but not essential.
